Chef Thomson will helm Anousone (a-new-sone), an American-Laos inspired restaurant. Chef Thomson came with his family to the United States as a refugee in 1980 at age six. His mother’s home cooking comforted him and later became his inspiration. With more than 27 years of experience in the culinary field, Chef Anourom worked his way from apprentice to Executive Chef at two of Kansas City’s beloved fine dining restaurants, Pierpont’s and Hereford House. His love of food, training in American Fare combined with culinary inspiration from his home country of Laos has led him to create a unique taste experience that showcases the flavors of Laotian cuisine.
